Christian Education Stepping Stones is a series of mini-courses for Christian Educators: pastors, superintendents, and those responsible for Christian formation who want to energize or refresh their ministry. These short term courses explore faith formation topics and contemporary issues and ideas, and offer an opportunity to network with others called to similar ministries. CE Stepping Stones is sponsored by the Connecticut Partners in Education.
Stepping Stones courses may be offered or added throughout the year, but have tended to be scheduled during fall, winter, and spring. Watch this page for current offerings!
Each program begins with light supper at 6:00 p.m., followed by instruction and dialogue from 6:45 - 9:00 p.m.
There is a $15.00 fee for each course. A group of three or more from one church will pay a maximum of $35.00.
What is youth group for? Why are we here every Sunday night? Is it just for community building or are we reaching for something deeper? An opportunity for high school youth group advisors to discuss why we do what we do; including some how-to and how-not-to of "regular" meetings, those times when our groups are NOT on mission trips or holding a fundraiser. Join us as we explore creative ways to make Sunday exciting for children and youth as they participate in and lead worship, including special programs, Children’s Sunday and Rally Day! Discover various approaches to leadership by children including Christian clowning, skits, monologues and puppetry. Learn, network and exchange ideas.
