Last fall, we were overwhelmed by the devastation wrought by Hurricane Mitch in Honduras and our Conference responded generously to the immediate need. Yet, even then, we recognized that re-building would take years, not just days or weeks.. First Congregational Church of Greenwich, which has a member (Jamie Rutherford) serving with a United Church of Christ mission in Honduras, has agreed to help us reach out with our continuing concern for the long-term needs of this recovering community.

At Annual Meeting we will be collecting medications which members of the Greenwich church will deliver to Honduras for us. Choose a few things from the list below and bring them with you to Annual Meeting. There, our gifts will be dedicated by prayer and sent on their way.

Albuteral/Teophyllin (wheezing meds)
Amoxicillin - 125 mg, 250 mg, 500 mg
antiacids - Mylanta (acid suppressors)
Anti-bacterial soap
Antispasmodics (for stomach pains)
aspirin - 80 mg and 325 mg
Augmentin - 125 mg and 250 mg adult and children's
B complex vitamins
Birth control pills
calcium
Cipro
cold medicine (flu medicine)
cough syrup
Dramamine (or other anti-nausea medicine)
Ear drops - analgesic
Ear drops - anti-fungal (clortrimazol)
Ear drops - Neomycin
Erythromicin - 250 mg and 500 mg adult & children's
Eye drops - Sulfasetamide
folic acid
Hydrocortizide
Ibuprofen (or other non-steroid anti-inflammatory)
iron
Kaopectate/Pepto Bismol
Litrosol (oral rehydration salts)
Multivitamins - adult and children's
Nasal drops
Nistatin drops (we don't need too many of these)
penicillin - adult and children's
Prenatal vitamins
skin creams such as, clortrimazol, hydrocortisone, neosporin, polysporin, A&D ointment
Tylenol - adult and children
Vaginal medicines ( against bacteria, against tricomonas, against candida, monila)
Visine (drops for red, irritated eyes)
